Richard S. Gendler

Graduate of the University of Hartford with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology (B.A. 1989), and the University of Miami School of Law (J.D., 1992). Mr. Gendler is a member of the Florida Bar and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

During law school, and shortly thereafter Mr. Gendler worked at the Miami-Dade County Public Defenders office advocating for indigent individuals charged with a myriad of crimes. Additionally, during this period Richard Gendler worked as a Guardian Ad Litem representing abused and neglected children in the Dependency Court for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida. Subsequently, Mr. Gendler worked as an associate attorney at Robbins, Tunkey, Ross, Amsel, Raben & Waxman, P.A. representing individuals charged with misdemeanor and felony crimes in both the State and Federal arenas. These cases included, but were not limited to, white collar offenses, murder, drug trafficking, sexual battery, driving under the influence, burglary, robbery, violations of probation/community control, battery, assault and grand theft. Thereafter, Richard Gendler worked as an associate attorney for Marcia T. Dunn & Associates, P.A. where his practice expanded to not only individuals charged with crimes, but also to Consumer, Corporate, and Trustee Bankruptcy matters. In 1998 Mr. Gendler established his present practice and has since expanded his firm to a multi-disciplinary office employing lawyers with extensive knowledge of not only criminal and bankruptcy matters, but real estate and civil matters as well.

Over the years Richard Gendler has appeared on all of the local major television networks, including ABC Channel 10, NBC Channel 6, CBS Channel 4, Fox Channel 7, and Telemundo Channel 51 and Telemiami Channel 22. His commentaries have also been cited in the Miami Herald, EL Nuevo Herald, Fort Lauderdale Sun Sentinel, New Times, and the St. Augustine Record. Mr. Gendler has a weekly talk show on WWFE 670 AM and WSUA 1260 AM discussing a variety of legal topics affecting South Florida.

As a dedicated member of the South Florida legal community Richard Gendler's activities have included memberships in the Miami-Dade County Bar Association, American Bar Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, the North Dade Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce and Attorney Mortgage Services. Additionally, Mr. Gendler is an agent for Attorney Title Insurance Fund, Stewart Title Insurance Company and Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company.

Richard Gendler's vision of affordable competent representation has come to fruition over the better part of the last decade through dedication to his practice, his clients and the law.

Mr. Gendler was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in North Miami Beach, Florida. He is fluent in Spanish.

Martin G. McCarthy

Graduate of the University of Miami School of Arts and Sciences with a Bachelor of Arts in History (B.A., 1995), and University of Miami School of Law (J.D., 1998 Cum Laude) During his undergraduate studies Martin McCarthy worked as a legal intern at Hamilton Bank, N.A. dealing with in-house legal and regulatory matters as an assistant to the General Counsel. This internship taught Mr. McCarthy the practical realities of working within the complex regulatory structure of a national banking institution.

During law school Martin McCarthy developed an interest in criminal law which lead to his working for the Miami-Dade County Public Defenders Office as a certified legal intern in the criminal divisions of both the County and Circuit Courts assisting in the representation of indigent defendants charged with both felonies and misdemeanors.

Since 1999, Mr. McCarthy has been working at the Law Offices of Richard S. Gendler & Associates, P.A. where he has continued in the representation of both adults and juveniles charged with a wide variety of crimes ranging from murder to, robbery, burglary, drug trafficking, kidnapping, aggravated assault, sexual offenses, driving under the influence (including their accompanying administrative hearings), criminal investigations prior to arrest, and other criminal matters in both the trial and appellate divisions of the State and Federal Courts.

Mr. McCarthy has expanded his practice to assist his clients varied legal needs. While still serving his clients charged with criminal offenses he also strives to serve his clients needs in corporate and personal bankruptcy, civil litigation, real property matters, and corporate formations.

Mr. McCarthy is a member of the Florida Bar and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Mr. McCarthy is a past or present member of the American Bar Association, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the Dade County Bar Association.

Robert F. Bollinger

Graduate of Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Affairs Management (B.S. 1984), Long Island University/ C.W. Post College with a Master of Science Degree in Public Accounting (M.S. 1989), and holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law (J.D. 1992 cum laude). Mr. Bollinger holds a New York State C.P.A.E.C. (1988) and is a member of the Florida Bar and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

Prior to immersing himself into the field of law, Robert Bollinger utilized his business and accounting skills by working as a Retail Sales Accountant for Saks Fifth Avenue. Subsequently Mr. Bollinger worked as a government regulatory staff accountant for New York Life Insurance Company. At the University of Miami School of Law, Robert Bollinger refined his legal writing skills as a staff writer for the prestigious University of Miami School of Law Inter-American Law Review. Upon Graduation from Law School with honors, Mr. Bollinger launched his prominent real estate legal career as an Associate Attorney with the law firm of Ritter, Ritter, & Feinstein. As Associate Counsel in the firm's real estate department Mr. Bollinger coordinated thousands of condominium conversion real estate transactions for a major South Florida real estate developer. Subsequently Mr. Bollinger opened Robert F. Bollinger, P.A. where he continued his practice of commercial and residential real estate transactions and expanded his practice to include Civil Litigation and Estate Planning.

At the Law Offices of Richard S. Gendler & Associates, P.A. Robert Bollinger is Lead Counsel in the Real Estate Department. His duties include preparation of commercial and residential real estate contracts, mortgage loan and real estate closings and the formation of homeowner and condominium associations for developers. Mr. Bollinger's present practice additionally includes the resolution of complex Internal Revenue Service issues, formations of corporate and limited liability companies, business contract preparation, business closings, probate, formation of guardianships and trusts, evictions, foreclosures, and the representation of defendants and plaintiffs in general civil matters.
